Customers using McDonald’s Wi-Fi in the United States probably aren’t doing so to research the nutritional information of the fast-food they’re shovelling down.
However, it turns out quite a few of them were making use of the anonymity to get their fix of pornography… until recently.
McDonald's has now deployed filters that prevent greasy-fingered patrons from accessing adult content as a substitute for getting their Sausage McMuffin.
The decision comes after campaigning from lobby group Enough Is Enough®, which has been attempting to make public Wi-Fi a safer place for the last few years...
