DONNA RICE HUGHES A FINALIST FOR WOMEN IN TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP AWARDS
 

Awards Program Honors Professional Women in the Washington, D.C. Area for their Extraordinary Leadership, Talent and Mentorship in the Technology Community Reston, Va.- April 18, 2013- Enough Is Enough^® (EIE), a national not for profit organization whose mission is to make the Internet safer for women and families today announced that Donna Rice Hughes, CEO and President of EIE, has been selected as a finalist for Women In Technology’s 14th Annual Leadership Awards. Donna is a finalist in the Social Impact category which honors a woman who is using or developing technology to make an impact in the world locally, nationally or globally. The awards program honors professional women working in the Greater Washington, D.C. region who have exemplified unique vision, inspirational leadership and mentorship in the technology industry. “This year we received many outstanding competitive submissions, but these finalists are true leaders in the industry,” said Nancy Lamberton, President, Women In Technology (WIT). “These women are not only leaders for their innovation, vision and successful business results, but also serve as role models and mentors to the next generation of professionals. We want to congratulate all the finalists for their outstanding work in the technology industry.” Donna Rice Hughes, President and CEO of Enough Is Enough^® (EIE), is an internationally known Internet safety expert, author, and speaker. She has led EIE’s Internet safety efforts since 1994 as an early pioneer to make the Internet safer for children and families. Under her leadership and vision, EIE created the Internet Safety 101^®℠ program in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice. She is also the executive producer, and host of the two time Telly award winning Internet Safety 101^® ℠ DVD series which recently aired as a three part television series on Virginia PBS stations.
